Compliance

St. Joseph School of Nursing is committed to conducting business ethically and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and St. Joseph Hospital and School of Nursing policies. Compliance concerns can be reported to the Dean, to the hospital’s Human Resources department, or the Organizational Integrity office.  Our Compliance Hotline, with the support of the community, is an effective way to help us address potential non-compliance.

Examples of compliance issues that may be reported using the Covenant Organizational Integrity Helpline include:

  • Financial impropriety
  • Misuse of hospital or school resources
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Discrimination or harassment
  • Health and safety issues
  • Information security (IS) violations, etc.

You do not need to know the exact law, regulation, or policy, or be certain a violation has occurred or will occur. If you are uncertain, the better course of action is to report. It is important that you provide enough information to allow your concerns to be adequately investigated and addressed.

The Covenant Organizational Integrity Helpline is an anonymous, toll-free, 24-hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week resource to report concerns if you do not feel comfortable going through the normal administrative channels. A detailed report will be forwarded to St. Joseph Hospital’s Office of Compliance.

The Compliance Hotline is staffed and managed by a respected company, which is not affiliated with our organization and provides this service under contract. No call tracing or recording devices are ever used on phone calls and the complainant contact information will be removed from reports made via email or fax before being transmitted to .

Inquiries and reports can be made without fear of retribution. Our policy prohibits any retaliation against individuals who report compliance issues in good faith. Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action. To contact Covenant Health’s Organizational Integrity Helpline, you may report suspected non-compliance by telephone, as follows:
