The official date of flu season for SJSON will start on September 16th.
This is the date the flu vaccine will be available. Everyone will have until
November 20th to either get the flu shot here, provide documentation of
obtaining it in the community, or obtain an approved exemption through Covenant Health Exemption Committee.
FYI, last year SJH did not have the availability of Flublok for anyone with
egg allergies. This year the manufacturers are making this available. We will have access to Flublok in addition to the high dose for anyone over 65yrs old and the trivalent fluzone (last year’s was quadrivalent).
